AKB48 announces their first Pro-Wrestling event!

For fans of AKB48 and Pro-Wrestling, the dream has come true at last!

The largest Idol group in Japan and the world, AKB48, has announced earlier today during their handshake session that the group will finally have their first pro-wrestling event. A bonus event to their current pro-wrestling drama “Tofu Pro Wrestling”, the same casts will be participating in the World Idol Pro Wrestling event that will be held at the Korakuen Hall on 29th August this year.

What a wonderful collaboration! Excitement began to fill the hall as our reporters could hear some fans chatting about their feelings towards the joint performance they had just seen, and there was a sense of anticipation that one of the final two acts of Anisong Fantasy Live would be announced any moment now.

Zepp Expands to Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan!

Music aficionados will be chuffed to know that Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) has decided to set up Zepp Hall Network concert halls outside of Japan! For the uninitiated, Zepp is a subsidiary of SME Japan which has set up numerous live houses all across Japan, which are commonly seen as great ways for bands to get closer to their fans due to the proximity of the stages in these halls to the audience! They are commonly free-standing as well, and many also sell drinks within the premises. You could liken them to the more familiar concept of jazz bars, except with more of a focus on music.

Three Hours of the Best Anisong Hits! Report on Anisong Fantasy Live 2017 Vol. 1 in Singapore (Part 1)

If you’re into Japanese pop culture and entertainment, the annual Anime Festival Asia (AFA) convention was probably the single biggest event to keep your eyes on. Just last year, over 90,000 people attended the Singapore stop of the convention alone, bringing the total count of attendees to well over a million in its eighth year.

The key word: was. There are now at least two big events to look out for.
